Jobs are Farever's crafting professions — completely separate from your combat class. Every character can level all six jobs on the same save, but most players pick two to specialise in. Jobs share economy with crafted gear and consumables, so picking complementary ones with your group is a force multiplier.
Farever Jobs
Six crafting professions — separate from your combat class. Pick any two to specialise in.
Blacksmith
Smelts ore, forges weapons and armour, repairs gear. The most universally useful job for combat-focused players. Essential for tier 3+ weapon upgrades.
Alchemist
Brews healing potions, stat-buff elixirs and bug-based reagents. Pairs perfectly with the Forager and the Bug Net capture system.
Scholar
Inscribes runes that add stats to weapons and armour. Mid-game power spike — most groups need at least one Scholar to push Autumn endgame.
Cook
Cooks meals that grant pre-fight stat boosts (vitality, stamina regen, damage). Cheap to level and high uptime — every group benefits.
Fisher
Catches fish for Cook recipes and rarely pulls unique trinkets / lore items from deep waters. Best paired with Cook on the same character.
Forager
Harvests herbs, mushrooms and rare plants for Alchemist and Cook recipes. The starter gathering job — fastest to level and lowest gear barrier.
Which job should I pick first?
For solo / first-time players: Forager + Cook. Forager fuels Cook, Cook gives you permanent pre-fight buffs, and both level passively while you explore. Once those are at level 3+, add Blacksmith to break tier-3 weapon ceilings.
For groups: split the six jobs across the party so no one has to grind everything. A 4-stack covering Blacksmith, Scholar, Alchemist, Cook is fully self-sufficient.
Levelling jobs
Each job levels independently, 1–10. Levels gate recipes. The first three levels per job are fast (~30 minutes each); levels 5+ require rarer mats. Don't double-up on a job that another party member is already pushing — share recipes via mailbox instead.
