Fastest route to max level
The optimised path beats the questing path by ~16 hours:
- Levels 1–10 (3–4 hrs): Main quests only. Skip side content until Skyover unlock.
- Levels 10–15 (4 hrs): Stormhold Keep + Sunken Aerie + Cradle of the Sky main quest XP.
- Levels 15–20 (5 hrs): Heart of the Matter chain + first Wraithwind Spire clear.
- Levels 20–25 (8 hrs): Daily Goldleaf Sanctum hard + Ashen Cathedral side quests.
- Levels 25–30 (12 hrs): Daily Heart of Autumn hard + repeatable XP weeklies.
What to do after max level
- Farm S-tier purple weapons: Heart of Autumn (Ember-Forged Greatsword, Tome of Three Pillars), Wraithwind Spire hard (Aether-Laced Staff core), Ashen Cathedral (Shadow Daggers).
- Weapon mastery cap: Push each weapon you use to mastery 20 for the passive bonuses.
- Talent experimentation: Cheap respec scrolls let you A/B-test trees on the same character.
- Profession capping: Push all 6 jobs to level 10 for the gold/utility loop.
- Co-op hard mode: All hard mode dungeons gate the best loot. See co-op guide.
FAQ — Farever max level
What is the max level in Farever?
The current level cap in the May 2026 Early Access build is level 30. It is raised periodically as new content patches ship. The 1.0 launch is targeting level 50 max.
How long does it take to reach max level in Farever?
About 34–50 hours from level 1 to 30 if you mix main quests + side quests + dungeon runs. Pure questing is slower (~50 hours). Optimal dungeon farming loop is fastest (~34 hours).
Fastest way to max level in Farever?
After level 15 the fastest route is: clear daily Goldleaf Sanctum hard mode (~3,500 XP per run, 8 minutes) + 1 Heart of Autumn hard mode per day (~12,000 XP, 25 minutes). Stack the quest XP bonus consumable.
What happens after max level in Farever?
You keep earning XP but it converts into Aether Sparks — a soft currency used for talent respec scrolls and weapon mastery boost potions. There is no "post-cap power level" yet; gear is the only progression.
Is the Farever max level worth grinding?
Yes for two reasons: (1) Heart of Autumn hard mode unlocks the S-tier purple weapons which require level 25+; (2) most endgame weapon mastery progression caps at character level 25–30.
Will the Farever max level go up?
Yes. Shiro Games has confirmed the level cap will raise with each major content drop — Roadmap mentions 35 in the first big patch, 50 at 1.0 launch.
Does the Farever level cap reset for new content?
No, your level is permanent. New patches just extend the cap upward. Existing characters do not need to re-level.
