Is Farever Online-Only?
Yes — Farever is online-only. The game uses server-meshed regional clusters and cannot be played offline, even solo.
Why always-online
Co-op join-in-progress, dynamic events, anti-cheat and seasonal content all run on Shiro Games' servers. There is no LAN or offline mode.
Latency
Pick the closest regional cluster (NA / EU / Asia). Cross-region play adds 100–200 ms latency.
Server downtime
Patch days and rare outages will block play. Shiro Games posts maintenance windows on Discord and Steam news.
